Neal is originally from Louisiana, though he's always had a heart for NASCAR country and the Carolinas. Neal earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. He was also a scholar athlete for the Wolfpack track team. While in college he worked as a co-operative education student with the Torrington Co. in Special Projects Manufacturing where he improved thrust bearing manufacturing processes through new tooling design and new component up fits to existing assembly machines.
When school was not in session, Neal was climbing jack up rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. As a roughneck, drilling for oil and gas, he worked under extreme hazardous conditions in a high pressure environment. He is especially adept at working under pressure. In his last semester, Neal chaired his senior design team, which won a class project sponsored by Caterpillar.
Upon graduation, Neal joined a mechanical contracting firm specializing in high purity process piping and HVAC installations. There he managed construction projects in several different bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in the Triangle. As a junior project manager, he became especially adept at jumping into existing projects and finding a way to get them finished. During this period, Neal forged his negotiating skills while going after payoffs from general contract managers for work that had been performed.
Subsequently, Neal moved on to become a Research and Development Engineer for a startup company that designs medical devices used to surgically correct atrial fibrillation. Here, Neal was privileged to work with industry innovators and leading minimally invasive heart surgeons from all over the world. Ironically, it was the same entrepreneurial and inventive spirit that he enjoyed about this company that led him into real estate.
In 2006 Neal formed a holding company for real estate investments and he received a broker's license in 2007. Neal grew up in the Sportsmans Paradise and he learned the value of land at an early age and he was taught that it must be handled with integrity in order to preserve it for the future. He has long since seen the benefits of its ownership and he wants to share this understanding with others and help them invest in real estate themselves. Neal's technical expertise and analytical skills contribute to the goals and needs of his client.
In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, good food and entertainment, reading, and working on cars.
